PHASE ONE: Solar Energy Pilot

Recently completed, this project looked at utilising solar energy to contribute toward reducing energy costs for whānau in hardship no matter where they live in New Zealand.

Partnering with Solar Sense Ltd. the pilot project established two small solar arrays on the Trusts farms and looked into the energy generation sector to be able to harness this renewable energy system to support whānau in hardship.

Funded by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, the project was completed in April of 2023, and the Trust has now become a small generator of renewable energy which will contribute toward supporting our whānau struggling with their power bills.
